I kicked off my March Madness with a trip to NY for a return to one of my favorite dining spots and to experience La Traviata before heading to Paris where nothing was spared – – the madness in Paris will be posted shortly.
Back at Daniel as this is always an event and tonight was no exception. I’ve have the pleasure to dine at Daniel for the past seven years and I must say I do enjoy my returns and am always excited to see what’s new and intriguing on the menu. True to form, we were intrigued and extremely satisfied from start to finish.
As we entered the coveted dining spot my good friend, Karim Guedouar greeted us in his usual suave and perfected polish demeanor, seated us in the waiting area and appropriately made two glasses of bubbly appear out of thin air just as I was getting comfortable – – perfect timing. As we watched the people come and go, our appetites grew as the exiting crowd had expressions of delight and pure satisfaction, and the incoming glowed with anticipation and excitement for what awaited them.
Seated in a very cozy and somewhat removed table, the lights dimmed perfectly, with conversations at a minimum, it was time to be wowed with exceptional service, food and wine. Here’s the evening that set my New York visit into motion.

This was the perfect start to the weekend and we managed to top it off with a visit to The MET.
