I touched down in Paris and my entire being changed for I knew what awaited me as this was my yearly return to dine and enjoy “My Paris,” as we all have one, and mine is always centered around exceptional accommodations, superb chefs, intriguing sommeliers, priceless art, and highly skilled and professional musicians – – theses make for what I best describe as “Life lived well.” Ahhh…..The best of the best.
The upcoming posts will be of my amazing 6 days and 5 nights in Paris starting with the magnificent Peninsula Hotel where I had the most amazing accommodations with impeccable service and over-the-top luxury, lunch at L’Oiseau Blanc, dinner at the Cristal Room, a tour of the Baccarat Museum with the fascinating and brilliant Madame Michaela Lerch, Curator and Director of the Heritage Department of Baccarat, an exquisite and priceless Louis XIII Rémy de Martin tasting at Baccarat with Mr. Florian Heriard Dubreuil, Brand Ambassador, an early morning viewing of the Camille Pissaro exhibition at Musée Marmottan Monet, followed by the bottomless pit adventure into fine dining starting with dinner at L’Abeille with my dear friend Chef Moret, lunch with Maestro Barry Douglas, at Le Grand Colbert and an incredible recital at The Garnier by the bel canto tenor, Mr. Juan Diego Flórez and all the amazing food and wine in between the exhalations. This trip was one of the most exhilarating, as every turn was met with someone or something amazing – – this was and is “My Paris.”

I hope you enjoy my reflections of this amazing Sagacious Palate experience in Paris. You should join me the next time – – I’m planning my return as the memories keep inspiring the necessary returns.
