My last dining adventure at Le Grand Véfour was May 2013. Two years later I’m back and can’t wait to indulge again. At last, the hour arrived and the return to Le Grand Véfour was in full swing as Chef Guy Martin once again met us at the door and welcomed us back to what can only be summed up as – – “Ultimate.” This time we occupied the booths of Emmanuel BERL, journalist, essayist and historian and Jean COCTEAU, writer, designer, playwright, artist and filmmaker. My view of this regal dinning destination and the names of many who have dined here is one to behold, but being a connoisseur of exceptional cuisine, my anticipation for Chef Martin’s next masterpiece of flavors and textures was to much to stand. When our first course arrived and I took my first bite, I slowly drifted into that wonderful state gastronomic ecstasy. Lunch at Le Grand Véfour is the right thing to do!!!

Another successful several hours of exquisite dining, and I’m dying to return. Many thanks to Mr. Christian DAVID, Jean-Luc and the entire staff for taking great care of us and welcoming us back. To leave having experienced exceptional cuisine and sincere hospitality is a divine pleasure reserved for those who truly understand and appreciate outstanding service. Chef Martin, as always, we thank you for another unbelievable dining experience – – another fascinating masterpiece. We shall return!!!!!
We are off to rest up for Palais Garnier – – L’Histoire de Manon:
