Today we decided to visit a little rustic restaurant higher up in Anacapri to experience a different view and vibe. So with a little help from Fabio at Capri Palace, we secured a reservation for lunch and waited for the the restaurant’s driver to arrive. When the driver arrived, to my surprise the vehicle was smaller than what I would consider safe given the cliffs and terrain but, this would not be the first time great food and wine trumped safety. I was up for the risk and am forever grateful I did.
Da Gelsomina – Family owned and operated, this place was plucked straight out of a movie where all your gastronomic appetites were met and then some. This find is definitely a must to anyone traveling to Anacapri and who loves the intimate homegrown and home cooked atmosphere. My prayer is to return soon!!!!! Pasquale thanks to you and your family for the amazing meal and your delicious wine, which is only produced for in house consumption. The Falanghina with the octopus salad and grilled vegetables was sensational and the Piedirosso with the rabbit – – WOW!!!!! The combination of flavors were just out of this world. Cultivating and producing everything on-site makes all the difference. This experience was truly farm to table. Everything was FANTASTIC!!!! We can’t wait to get back. Please have the rabbit and potatoes waiting with a large bottle of the Piedirosso.

It always gives me great pleasure to leave the table, go to the kitchen and thank the hands and hearts that create and elevate food to another level – – La Cucina, Mille Grazie!!!!

There’s nothing like a peaceful stroll after a wonderful meal and Pasquale suggested walk through the park was picture perfect and thought provoking. Just steps away from the outdoor dining terrace is a place unlike any I’ve experienced. You must take the “MUST SEE” walk through The Philosophical Park, for this view awaits you.
