From the moment I arrived, I found myself not doing what I so often do for Sagacious Palate – – quietly taking notes, because every thoughtful detail deserved to be remembered in that moment. Ahhhh, but the Pol Roger, fried pickles, dry aged steak, egg and morels, and the unbelievable Chatêau Des Tours was simply magical and could not go unnoticed by way of this post.

Guided by Michelin-starred Chef Tom Kerridge and beautifully executed by Head Chef Tom Childs, each dish celebrated the very best of Britain’s seasonal bounty with confidence, warmth, and remarkable craftsmanship. The atmosphere was lively yet refined, where genuine hospitality made every guest feel as though they belonged. The rich wood paneling, leather seating and quiet acoustics reminded of those private clubs where the experience is one of measured elegance and enduring refinement.
