Having been away from posting for a while, I’m back home and am now taking the time to post and reflect on what has been an incredible cultivation of life changing moments.
From Monaco to Tangier, Bilbao, London, Fiesole, Bologna and so many amazing places in between, I’ve sincerely expanded my boundaries, grown in truth and connected with some amazing souls that I’m still in touch with who inspire me daily!!
As the unfolding of this past whirlwind of travels begins, I wish to start with an awe inspiring encounter with Tommaso Melani of Stefano Bemer in Florence, Italy.
It’s all about the EXPERIENCE!!!!
After spending time wondering the streets of Florence and stepping into the Medici Chapel to see sketches from Michelangelo where he lived while hiding from the Pope, Tony and I crossed the Arno for a beautiful and memorable encounter at Stefano Bemer.
Stepping out of the taxi and seeing Tommaso Melani outside Stefano Bemer was the perfect introduction as the unexpected encounter set in motion another life changing experience. He politely paused his conversation to welcome us in and once done he immediately found his way to us admiring a stunning collection of craftsmanship like kids in a candy store or oenophiles at a Brunello tasting. This slight gesture was the same care and energy I’d witnessed during a Youtube interview from Kirby Allison interviewing Tommaso. In that moment, I knew this guy was the real deal – – genuine and authentic!!!

After introductions, time dissolved and an incredible experience happened as we were introduced to a kind of luxury and elegance we’d ignored our entire lives. For years, special attention to the perfect fit when it came to footwear was ignored as the trilogy of elegance, luxury and comfort never synced. This all changed in the blink of an eye as Tommaso’s masterful assessment and Stefano Bemer’s craftsmanship synced the trilogy. In addition to this moment of alignment, being in this bespoke gem was enhanced by Tommaso’s energy and presence as the experience embodied so many attributes that have shaped my character – – it was an incredible euphoric moment!!! A moment that I never imagined would and could happen around footwear, but this was beyond “footwear,” this alignment speaks to what it means to be fully present in your passions, your being and having the ability to share it with others – – bravo Tommaso!!!

Needless to say, the moment we stepped inside a pair of Stefano Bemer’s – – we were forever committed!!! We walked away with our first pair and yes, definitely looking forward to our next.
