So what happens when the world’s finest crystal meets the world’s finest congac — PURE MAGIC!!!! Our time at Musée Baccarat was so incredible we were extended an invitation to return for a private Louis XIII Cognac tasting by Madame Stéphanie MOREL, Directrice de Boutique and Madame Michaela Lerch, Curator and Director of the Heritage Department of Baccarat. How can one say no to such an exquisite and rare tasting – – you simply can’t. So we returned to Musée Baccarat as if we’d been granted 3 wishes with childlike anticipation to taste what can best be described as a magical elixir reserved for, well those of a certain caliber with refined tastes and the funds to afford such a rarity. I LOVE MY WORK!!! Ahhhh what an incredible delight to be in such a magnificent industry of luxury goods surrounded by luxurious people.
We had the pleasure of being introduced to Mr. Florian Heriard Dubreuil, Brand Ambassador for LOUIS XIII and his distinguished colleagues, Mr. Ron Newman, Executive Director – Private Clients of Irvine, California and Mr. Guillaume Vallet, LOUIS XIII Ambassador of Las Vegas, Nevada. Once the introductions were made we were then escorted to a private room adorned with Baccarat crystal and the magical elixir I was so dying to taste again. I’d had the pleasure of tasting Louis XIII at the office in DC, but to be in Paris, at Musée Baccarat in this most elegant and dignified setting consuming Louis XIII was beyond words – – as it should be. Silence was key as we allowed this symphony of tastes to play sweet harmonies on and in our palates. The beauty of both theses magical and timeless treasures, is you get to physically consume one and visually consume the other as the pleasure of admiring the craftsman’s ship and elegant design that is so distinctive Baccarat will last a lifetime.
As much as I loved to give the sought after descriptors that usually follow experiences of this caliber, I shall leave it up to you to experience it on your own, as the experience is so unique and so one-of-a-kind, I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise. Enjoy, we did!!!
