Chef Marcello & Chef Daniel – Palm Beach, FL

So I took a little break from posting, however I did not take a break from enjoying delicious cuisine and being in the company of some amazing chefs.

My first post of 2017 just happens to be one that spotlights two of my favorite chefs in Palm Beach, after all that’s where I flock to when in need of relaxation and sun, as well as, great food and wine – – especially during the winter months in DC.

It was another fantastic evening at La Sirena with Chef Marcello doing his “regular” extraordinary cooking while we sat back taking in all that was physically possible.  I do amaze myself as to how much I have eaten over the course of the this blog and how much I can eat in one sitting, and yet I never tire, especially when I hit La Sirena.

It’s almost comical now, as Diane knows exactly what I’m having before she delights us with the specials.  And on this special night, not to disappoint, I order my regular: escargot, La Sirena salad, a pasta dish, fish and the ever so amazing pounded veal chop — only this time Marcello made the veal chop a little more special than normal – EXTRA TRUFFLES!!!  Another all time favorite is the Involtini di pollo saltrani (chicken breast pounded thin, stuffed with veal, spinach and cheeses, with black truffle sauce).  The evening progressed as expected — flawless with no interruptions, well almost.  As I dined in what can best be described as “Earthy Heaven” I was kindly interrupted by Tony’s elbow nudging me to get a glimpse of the front door guests.  By the time I figured out all the commotion one guest in particular had made his way to our table and all I could say was have a seat and he did.  I usually do not turn my attention away from good food and drink, but this was truly an exception.  Needless to say it was a photo op that we could not resist.  The evening was set!!!  An amazing dinner, above and beyond service as the entire La Sirena family are always on their game and to top it off time with Chef Daniel Boulud.

As we finished dinner and was heading out, Chef Marcello in his typical fashion stopped his dinner to shake our hands and to wish us a good night which is way beyond necessary but that’s Marcello!!! But before we stepped outside Chef Boulud made his way to us for a final good evening and a special invite to Café Boulud the following day.  And when Chef Boulud invites you, you show up!!!!
